I know, I know…it’s been ages, right? Well, here’s why.
I more or less moved my entire blog (and newsletter) over to www.Patreon.com/AprilHunter .
Why?
1. Because WordPress reaps the benefits of traffic instead of allowing the writers to earn, whereas Patreon lets creators share our work with both Patrons and non-Patrons. When you spend hours, days, weeks – and with writing, MONTHS –working on something, it’s nice to have the option to NOT be a starving artist. Food is good.
Hi!
This is, quite literally, the first time in a very long span of history where one doesn’t have to be a starving artist. Everything we see and hear and use is created. If you want to guarantee a future for your child, send them to ART school. Never thought anyone would ever say that, right?! Human creativity is the only thing that can’t be replaced by computers. Dishwashing…math…cameras…engines…fleshlights and vibrators…fuck. Hmmm. Yep. Trades and arts. Nothing else is guaranteed.
2. I handed my website and newsletter to a full-service company two years ago when my school schedule got crazy and while it’s nice to not have to do everything, I hate not having control. (Yes. I am a control freak. I’ll own it.) Patreon allows ME to have control again. Posts go up when I want them up and they say what I want it to say. It looks exactly the way I want it to look. I can also take YOUR requests and add them on there. Whooo! Winning!
3. It allows me to tie into what we are doing on my site, simultaneously. I may add a small teaser gallery for Patrons and another with a video for site Members.
Please stop over and visit me. You don’t have to become a Patron to follow and say hola. Same goes for www.AprilHunter.com . I now offer have a free membership on my website and offer exclusive/combo content on both…because, like…it’s fun.
And, I adore you.
Speaking of moving, I have a new MAILING address.
New address:
1334 Tampa Rd. #109
Palm Harbor, FL 34683
Email: thisisaprilhunter@gmail.com
Here are a few sample posts from http://www.Patreon.com/AprilHunter you’ll see if you come over.
This gives you an idea of what my Patreon page, website and LIFE is like. Varied, colorful, opinionated, not at all shy, and quite weird. With a twisted sense of humor.
There’s much more where this came from. Visit my crazy ass. 🙂
Xo!

Ps. Yes, I’m still in university through the end of the year, if I don’t take any more time off. I can’t wait to be done/I am terrified to be done.
Yeah. I’m also still bipolar. Betcha couldn’t tell.
Very interesting.
